This year I saw a lot of similar AI products focusing on memory or virtual companionship, which reminded me of a TV series from a few years ago.
The general plot of "Upload to Rebirth" is that in the not-too-distant year 2033, six technology companies operate virtual reality hotels, where dying people can be "uploaded" to enjoy their future lives.
People in the virtual world are very happy.
The scenery outside the window can also be switched with one click.
From summer to winter, it is as convenient as changing the wallpaper on your mobile phone.
But thinking, speaking, and acting in the virtual world all require data traffic and krypton gold.
In the upload world, each uploader will correspond to an "angel" and one "angel" is responsible for multiple uploaders.
Angels can communicate with the uploader by pure voice through a microphone, or they can communicate "face to face" through VR glasses (glasses & head-mounted).
Angels generally have the following types: Creator: On the first day when the uploader arrives in the uploaded world, the "angels" are responsible for creating their image in the uploaded world through photo information; later, they can change the uploader's image (with or without fingers, braids, etc.) with a wave of the brush.
Customer service: The uploader shouts "Angel" and they will come to provide help (it should be noted that angel/is not responsible for the menial work of serving tea and water, the menial work is completed by the AI waiter, similar to Janet in "The Good Place"); because it is necessary On call, working shifts, day shift and night shift; Nanny: Uploaders need to be managed, sleep controlled, and location and mood monitored to ensure their good physical and mental condition.
What is particularly interesting is that "angels" will also be rated by the uploader (five-star system), which is directly linked to their salary and whether they are fired.
Let’s not talk about whether this kind of memory upload really has commercial value, the feasibility of technical implementation, and whether there are ethical risks.
If we regard it as an AI product, the overall concept and design are quite bold and imaginative.
This seemingly fantasy thing seems to be constantly approaching the goal.
I have recently seen several good similar products and have browsed over a thousand times.
I will write another article to talk about it.
