From losing 600,000 yuan in the stock market to establishing the top 3 AI community in China, my journey has been made public for the first time!
Three years ago, 35+, programmer, architect of a large factory.
That year, there was a black swan in the Hong Kong stock market.
The stocks in my hand plummeted by 40%, with a cumulative loss of 600,000.
(Pictured) My mentality is broken, and I feel like the mid-life crisis is flooding my head like a flood.
Three years later, I am the manager of "Yiyi Fireworks" and have established the top 3 AI developer community in China, connecting tens of thousands of developers and industry leaders.
From harvested leeks to hubs of connection.
I’m not going to talk about chicken soup, I’m just going to talk about the three cognitions I’ve bought with money in the past three years.
The biggest trap for ordinary people is to try to find a sense of security in an extremely uncertain market (stock market).
That loss made me understand: don’t expect to get rich suddenly, don’t expect to be rich.
In this chaotic world, the only "certainty" is your expertise and value to others.
I gave up watching the market and giving up vanity consumption.
When AI breaks out in 2023, I only do one thing: turn myself into a node to connect people.
The stock market is a zero-sum game, but the community is a positive-sum game.
Many people ask: Self-media is so popular now, why do you stick to the community?
My understanding: The background of self-media is communication, traffic is daily, short-lived and fast, but perishable.
The foundation of the community is social interaction, trust, long-termism, and passing through cycles.
There is no Reddit environment, everyone needs a real "square".
I firmly believe in what Kevin Kelly said about “1,000 die-hard fans”.
In the AI era, one high-trust social link > 10,000 general traffic reads.
From 0 influence to Top3, it does not rely on my own talent, but on "screening" and "consensus".
Leverage: Thank you to Mr.
Chi from Mowen Community @sagacity for your support and all the big guys (@vista8, Teacher Qiaomu @canghe, Teacher Canghe @WaytoAGI AJ, and many other big guys).
Precipitation: 30+ vertical fields, we do not pursue large numbers of people, only "addiction".
Value: When bosses and developers collide frequently in the group, information gaps naturally arise.
If the community is well done, it will kill more time than watching short videos, because there are real "people" here.
I am still a programmer who writes code, but I enjoy the identity of "fireworks" more.
If you are also a developer, entrepreneur in the AI track, or a confused middle-aged person.
Welcome to follow me.
In the future, I will disclose more real SOPs and pitfall experiences in building an AI community.
Let us find deterministic returns for ordinary people outside of code.
