It is highly recommended that you read this long article written by Thariq, a core member of ClaudeCode: he brings an interesting perspective.
HTML is the real working interface in the Agent era.
Markdown is great for recording.
HTML is great for understanding, manipulating, simulating, making decisions, and collaborating.🧠 My personal understanding is that HTML can carry more forms of information, such as harness experience, multi-modal memory (these two points are very important), and HTML is an ancient document form, and the use of large models has long been in flames.
One thing is certain, HTML needs a more concise syntax, only for the interaction between agents, the syntax is too redundant.
When Claude Code generates not a .md, but an interactive HTML artifact, it is no longer just "output content", but a temporary software: a research kanban, a task console, a data dashboard, a decision sandbox, and even a personal operating system that can interact with the Agent in both directions.⚙️ That's why within Anthropic, Claude Code is less and less seen as a “writing tool” and more as a way to compile natural languages directly into the workplace.
The engine of the face.
🚀 The future of AI productivity, no longer in order for humans to switch between more apps, the main thing is for the Agent to instantly generate the best interface for the current task according to your context.
Markdown is the paper of the AI era.📄 HTML is the workbench of the Agent era.🧩 The browser is no longer where work happens.
The artifact is.
