ChatGPT Work: AI starts delivering work for you In the past, we used ChatGPT to get answers.

Now, OpenAI is thinking about another thing: letting AI pick up a complete target, find context by itself, execute it across applications, and then deliver usable results such as Excel, PowerPoint, Site, etc.

This 5-minute essence retains the most critical complete link in the release demonstration: •Initiate the target from the mobile phone, retrieve Slack and employee feedback •Find the right people, and arrange a meeting with Calendar •Check the actual data with Forecast, explain the financial differences •Update Excel directly, and then generate PowerPoint and shareable Site •Leave approval to humans before actually sending the Slack message.

The most noteworthy change is that the work unit of AI is changing from "answering a prompt" to "delivering a can" "Acceptance results".

Model capabilities are still important, but what really determines the value of the product are Context acquisition, tool invocation, task status, product format and Human-in-the-loop approval.

For product managers, this means that requirements design needs to start describing goals, boundaries, evidence, and acceptance conditions; for software engineers, this means that Agent Harness, permission control, observability, and rollback capabilities will gradually become product infrastructure.
